Knit and felt this beautiful handbag. The trapezoid shape means this bag opens wide. The front and back panels are knit in a main color; the base, sides and handle are knit in a contrast color. The bag is approximately 10" x 6" (felting is an inexact science). The pattern is cleary written and printed on bright white cardstock.
The bag as pictured is knit with 2 skeins of Noro Kureyon, a gorgeous self-striping, 100% wool yarn, and 100 yds of worsted weight wool in a complementary color. Or you can use 150 yds of any worsted weight wool for a main color plus 100 yds of worsted weight wool in a complementary color. To order Noro Kureyon, click here. To see our felting wools, click here. To order a kit, click here.
The pattern requires US 10 and 10.5 circular or straight needles and US 10 double point needles. To order needles, click here.
You will also need a small stitch holder, thread to match the contrast color, a sewing needle, and a large snap (optional).
We love the rainbow effect that Noro Kureyon produces in the pictured bag, but you can use any feltable yarn. Bags by Mags purses are beautiful!
