This pattern includes several styles of imaginative flowers -- all felted -- that can be made into pins or attached to a purse for a colorful and whimsical embellishment. The beads can stand alone as necklaces or bracelets. Also, a small bead makes a great flower center. While you are knitting your "garden" let your imagination run free. We are certain there are as many combinations as there are knitters!
Most of the items pictured were knit with small amounts of Worsted Weight 100% Wool Yarn. You can knit with sport weight yarn also -- the flowers are very nice in sport weight; the beads will be smaller.
You will need a set of double point needles for the beads, leaves, and most flowers. The "Rose" is easiest to knit with a circular needle (any length). For worsted weight yarn use US 10.5 needles and for sport weight yarn use US 8 needles. To order needles, click here. You will also need a Tapestry Needle.
Felting supplies include a zipper-type mesh laundry bag, laundry soap and a washing machine.
