Whether you make this little sweetheart in thread, Worsted Weight Yarn, Bulky Yarn, or anything in between, Madison is a fun and easy jointed bear that makes a beloved gift for bear lovers of all ages. Depending on the age of the recipient, joints can be created with buttons, beads , or simply yarn. Eyes can be made with half-ball shank buttons or embroidered for safety. Madison is about 11" tall standing when made with Worsted Yarn.
Suggested crochet hook with Worsted Weight Yarn is a G-6 (4mm) Crochet Hook. You will also need polyester fiberfill, a Tapestry Needle, 3/8" half-ball shank buttons (optional for eyes; can embroider with black yarn), and four four-hole flat buttons or four beads large enough to not slip between crochet stitches (for button or bead joints, if desired).
