Here's a different take on ribbing that provides a contoured, textured rib, attractive in both variegated and solid-colored yarns. Skill level is Intermediate.

Knit Adult Medium (foot length 9.5", foot circumference 8", leg length 6") with approximately 300 yards of Sport Weight Yarn. Suggested needles are US 3 (3.25mm) Needles. You will need a Cable Needle.
