Knit a miniature representation of the United States Flag. The lacy stripes and beaded stars symbolize the flag proudly waving in the breeze. Skill level is Intermediate (must be comfortable reading charted instructions).

Knit the Mini Lace and Beaded Flag with size 8 pearl cotton thread or equivalent. You will need 14 yards of red, 10 yards of white or natural, and 6 yards of blue. You will need 50 glass seed beads size 10/0 or 11/0 in white or pearl, either loose or pre-strung, and a beading needle if beads are loose. Suggested needles are 4/0 US (1.25mm) needles.

(If you would like a larger or smaller flag, choose thicker or thinner yarn, and correspondingly sized needles and beads. Plan accordingly for more or less yardage.)
