Unique cuff/leg in spiraling stripes are knit lengthwise side-to-side rather than circularly. For people with narrow ankles relative to leg size, just twist the bias stripes further when wearing for a nice no-sag fit. Rather than knitting in the round, the cuff/leg is knitted along its length on 2 needles for easy-knitting stripes (you only need to work with one color of yarn at a time), then joined at side seam. Choose festive holiday colors such as the old-fashioned Christmas combo shown here, your school colors, or even combine orphan balls of yarn in different colors. Skill level is Intermediate.

Knit Peppermint Sticks 2 for 5 sizes, children through adult extra large, 6" (7", 8", 9", 10") foot circumference, with 100 (135, 170, 200, 230) yards of Sport Weight Yarn or DK Weight Yarn in Color A and 125 (170, 225, 250, 275) yards in Color B. Suggested needles are US 2 (3mm) Straight and Double Point Needles. You will need smooth waste yarn for provisional cast on, a Crochet Hook and a Tapestry Needle.
