| At the age of eleven, Phoenix
Bess studied fiber arts with
renowned handwork maven
Rosalie Brown and spent the
ensuing two years broadening
her knitting skills. In October
of 2005, she started her
knitwear design business and
called it Knitty Girl. She sold
her garments and patterns,
and she began selling through
upscale clothing boutiques.
Phoenix quickly expanded her
horizons to include designing
for yarn companies. She also
began designing
one-of-a-kind pieces for
individuals,
garnering a loyal following
and high praise for her unique
interpretations of fashion.
Phoenix continues to defy
society's conventions and
transcend age limitations to
offer women the kind of
garments that have been
described as "balanced
between young and mature at
the same time in a truly
wonderful way." |
