Noni's Little Chef Oven Mitts are Noni's Happy Stripes Oven Mitts sized to fit kids! The mitts are one-handed in three sizes; you can put these oven mitts on either left or right hands, so you never have to worry about grabbing the correct one. Begin with either small, medium or large size and take them out of the felting process frequently. Try them on your little chef . . . when they fit, they are done.
Knit and felt the Little Chef Oven Mitts for Small (Medium, Large) with 70 (90, 100) yards of Worsted Weight Feltable Wool such as Shepherd's Wool by Stonehedge Fiber Mill (100% Merino Worsted Weight Wool, 250yds/skein). Suggested needles are US 8 (5mm) 12" Circular or Double Point Needles. You will also need Stitch Markers and Stitch Holders.
The I-Can-Set-The-Table-Myself Placements are perfect for helping little folks learn how to set the table. Make one placement for the wee one or make them for the whole family. The placemats require intarsia, so if intarsia is new to you, this might be the perfect project because felt forgives some things that unfelted knitting does not. Make the mats in a solid color or happy stripes.
