Knit and felt the Retro Bag -- A Smallish Triangle Bag with Shirley Poppies. This little structured bag harkens back to another time and looks forward all at once. Imagine flowing rayon dresses with bright prints, high-heeled platform sandles with open toes, smooth, wavy hair. Walking by the river on a balmy Spring day or evening. Sitting down for coffee, a good book, and a tasty sweet at an ourdoor cafe, your bag on the white marble table. Finished bag measures 6.5 wide across the front at top x 9" wide across the front at bottom x 6" deep at bottom of side. Skill level is Intrepid Beginner to Intermediate.

As shown, knit and felt the Natural Bag with 3 skeins of Cascade 220 (100% Peruvian Highland Wool; 220yds/100g) in 8010 Natural. This bag is shown with 6" wide bamboo handles and decorated with 3 Shirley Poppies in white with red tips.

Knit and felt the Light Blue Bag with 3 skeins of Cascade 220 in 8905 Light Blue. This bag is shown with 6.25" wide light blue handles and decorated with a single Shirley Poppy in red with a pink center.

Knit and felt the Royal Blue Bag with 3 skeins of Cascade 220 in 9457 Royal Blue. This bag is shown with 6.25" wide translucent, sparkly blue "bamboo" handles.

Knit and felt the Shirley Poppies with 1 skein each of Cascade 220 in 8903 Prima Verra, 8895 Christmas Red, 9478 Cotton Candy, 8010 Natural, and 1 ball of Crystal Palace Fizz in 7301 Tangerine. For a little sparkle, bead flower edges or use Tilli Tomas Flurries in flower colors for the last two rows of each flower petal.

You will need US 11 (8mm) 24" Circular Needles to create the bags and US 7 (4.5mm) Double Point Needles to create the Shirley Poppies. You will also need Stitch Markers, a sewing needle and sewing thread in like color, and 1-2 sheets Darice Extra Stiff (Plastic) Artist Canvas.
