Each of these Dr. Seuss-ish Bags is knitted using two strands of Cascade 220 Yarn (Worsted Weight Feltable Yarn), worked as one. The bags are worked in the round in one piece, knitted from the top down. The bottom is decreased into the center on double point needles. Once completed, the bags are embellished with maribou feather trim. Knit and felt.

You will need US 11 (8mm), 24" Circular Needles (or the larger bags) and a set of US 11 (8mm) Double Point Needles or two US 11 (8mm), 12" Circular Needles.

Finished dimensions for the Apricot Elephant Foot Seuss-ish Bag are 22" circumference x 11" height with a 24" handle; the Red Elephant Foot Seuss-ish Bag, 20" circumference x 9" height with an 18" handle; and the Cat-in-the-Hat Seuss-ish Bag, 18" circumference at the smallest point x 10" height with a 20" handle. The cell phone bag for flip phones and I-pod Mini measures 3" bag height x 1/2" depth x 3" width with a 7" total handle length and the cell phone bag for upright cell phones measures 4.75-5" height x 1/2" depth x 3" width with a 7" total handle length. (Results may vary with gauge, felting yarn used and time left in the felting process.)

As pictured, the Apricot Seuss-ish Bag is created with 5 skeins of Cascade 220 Yarn in Color 7825 (Apricot); the Red Seuss-ish Bag is created with 3 skeins of Color 8895 (Bright Red); the Cat-in-the-Hat Seuss-ish Bag is created with 2 skeins of Color 9404 (Deep Red) and 1 skein of Color 8010 (Natural). 1 skein of any color will make several cell phone bags. Trim with maribou feather trim.
