Pattern Tamers are one of the best things to happen to your creative life since the circular needle! Okay, well maybe not that revolutionary, but they do make the world a better place for knitters and crocheters. A pattern tamer (patent pending) is a nifty little magnetic gadget to hold your place in your pattern. Once you start using the Tamers, you won't need to use sticky notes or write on your patterns to keep track of your place. They are great for crafters on the go who don't want to lug around an easel-board place holder. Tamers stay in place, even if you fold a pattern and stick it in your purse.
How they work: Side "A" of the magnetic tape, and side "B" are attached using cool ribbons. When side "A" and side "B" attract to each other through the page, they mark your spot in a straight line across the page. When you finish a line, you simply pick up the ends of the Tamer, breaking the magnetic pull, and slide it up or down the page. Tamers contain magnets that are specially polarized so that they won't "float" like other magnets do when you try to push them together.
Tamers come in a package of three: one 5" Tamer, one 9" Tamer, and one 12" Tamer. The 5" and 9" ones are for horizontal use across the page. The 12" one is designed to mark your place vertically in a chart, or in a row.
If your knitting life suffers from chronic interruption (who's doesn't?), these are the perfect way to keep track of where you are in your pattern. You will no longer have to write all over your beautiful books, or be bothered with working copies, or use sticky notes that may fall off.
Tamers are available in many beautiful patterns. Please let us choose. Feel free, however, so specifiy a favorite color in the comments field as you check out. We will try to accommodate you.
