Phoenix entered her Rainbow felted backpack in an art show that drew submissions from professional fiber artists across the country. She surprised the knitting community when she won honorable mention in the accessories category. Phoenix was the only teen at the show. The pattern for her Rainbow Back Pack is featured here.

The design is shown in Brown Sheep Lamb's Pride Worsted (190 yds per skein) in colors #M-78 Aztec Turquoise, #M-79 Blue Boy, #M-102 Orchid Twist, #M-38 Lotus Pink and #M-62 Amethyst, 1 skein of each. You can use any worsted weight feltable yarn. You will need a US 10 (6 mm) 32" Circular Needle, a tapestry needle, cording and a button.

Finished, the body measures 16" x 56" with a 9" x 9" bottom.
