JUL Pedestal Button is an improvisational button. These closures require no commitment -- no sewing and no button holes. Instead pedestal buttons are flexible components that can transform garments. These unique buttons are an alternative to a shawl pin. It's a button for garments that don't have buttons or buttonholes. You are not committed to a particular closure. It cinches a cowl, shapes the back of a sweater, makes a hat fit, pulls in a cuff to make the sleeve blouse (and protect from drafts). Made in the USA. Extra Small is 7/8", Small is 1.25", Medium is 1.75", Large is 2 3/8". Sold per piece.
To use Pedestal Button, unscrew the backing and remove the back disk from the shank. Holding the front disk (on the Chicago Screw shank), work the shank gently in between the stitches of your knitwear from the front. Place the back disk of leather, smooth side out, over the Chicago Screw shank on the inside of the knitwear. Screw in the backing with your fingers to secure.
