Designed by Marnie MacLean, feminine without being fussy, Giselle is a try-on-as-you-go, top-down raglan with no seaming required. For ultimate flexibility, the pattern instructions for this simple sweater offer four options to best fit your style and preferred technique. For style, choose a cropped or full-length version of the sweater. For technique, choose an all-knit version, or trim your sweater with simple crochet. Whichever version of Giselle you choose, you are guaranteed a classic garment that is universally flattering to the female form: a romantic top that fits you perfectly and that you will enjoy for years to come. Skill level is intermediate.
Knit Full-Length Giselle for sizes XS (S, M, L, 1X, 2X, 3X), to fit actual bust 33" (35.5", 38", 40.5", 44", 48", 52"), with 8 (9, 10, 11, 12, 13, 14) skeins of Tilli Tomas Plie. Add the optional crochet trim with 1 skein of Tilli Tomas Voile de la Mer.
Knit Cropped Giselle for sizes XS (S, M, L, 1X, 2X, 3X), to fit actual bust 33" (35.5", 38", 40.5", 44", 48", 52"), with 5 (6, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10) skeins of Tilli Tomas Plie. Add the optional crochet trim with 1 skein of Tilli Tomas Voile de la Mer.
Suggested needles are US 6 (4mm) 22" and 36" Circular and Double Point Needles. A US 6 (4mm) 16" Circular Needle is optional for the upper portion of the sleeves. If you create the crochet trim version, you will need an E-4 (3.5mm) Crochet Hook. You will also need 10 Stitch Markers in various colors, needle and thread to sew ribbon ties, and a Tapestry Needle.
