Modern, functional and beautiful, the innovative Ravena Satchel combines Intarsia knitting, felt and needle felting. Flowing and curved lines are the result, normally impossible to achieve in knitting. Double stranded yarn and large needle size insure that you don't spend your life knitting the front and sides of this bag! The bonus is the multiple YouTube.com instructional support videos, made especially for the Ravena Satchel. Finished size is 15" wide at bottom, 6.75" deep, 14.5" tall, and 22" wide at top.
As pictured, the Ravena Satchel was knit with Zitron Classic Loft (100% Wool/100m), 9 skeins of Black #1220, 4 skeins of Light Pink #1235, 1 skein of Orange #1221, 1 skein of Lavender #1240, 1 skein of Green #1238, and 1 skein of Gold #1218. Suggested needles are US 15 (10mm) 24" Circular Needles (addi TURBO).
You will need a Stitch Marker, a Tapestry Needle, disposable razors, a rolling linter, Needle Felting Needles and Foam, 4 JUL Filigree Collection Handbag Feet, 4 JUL Filligree Collection Rings, 4 small silver buttons, 4 large silver buttons, 2 pieces of suede or other fabric and cotton strapping (flat cotton webbing available at fabric stores) for adding strength and padding to inside suede straps, 1.5 yards black seam binding or ribbon for finishing top edge of satchel, black thread and sewing needle, 1.5 yards of sew-in Velcro (to close top of satchel), 1/8" Masonite board cut to 6.5" x 13.5" (available in hardware stores), and optional fabric to line the satchel and cover the Masonite board.
