These pretty Victorian-inspired stockings are a lovely way to show off a well-turned ankle. They are worked from the toe up for easy try-ons and feature a fitted calf. Though the stockings are thigh high (24" from floor to the Zig-Zag lace), the knitter can stop anywhere along the way, add the ribbing, and be done. Skill level is Intermediate.

Knit the Marlaina Stockings for sizes Small/Medium (Large), size 5-7 (size 8-9), with 500 yards of DK Weight Yarn. (The model is featured in Fixation by Cascade Yarns (98.3% Cotton/1.7% Elastic, 100 yds per oz).) Suggested needles are US 3 (3.25mm) Double Point Needles.

You will also need 1.5 yards of 1.5" satin ribbon, 1.5 yards of .25" elastic, waste yarn and Stitch Markers.
