This shawl is made with the top-down technique so it can be made any size desired and with any yarn and hook size. The feature that sets this shawl apart is its curved edge, for those who might prefer to have a shawl without a center back point. Skill level is intermediate.
Crochet the Beryl Shawl as pictured, about 19" long from center top to bottom edge by about 53" measuring along curved top edge and about 114" along curved bottom edge, with 685 yards of Sport Weight Yarn. Suggested crochet hook is a G-6 (4mm) Crochet Hook. The Beryl Shawl may be made with any yarn desired and appropriate hook size. Gauge is not important with this shawl. Use a hook to give a nice drape with your chosen yarn.
